Trunk or Treat was a huge success. 

October 28th 2024 Council Meeting Recap

Awards were handed out for sports organizations at the beginning of the meeting.  Some folks wondered if this was pandering to the sports organizations to get their votes, but we checked and there was the same ceremony in 2023.   That was also an election year.   In 2022 there were no sports organization awards except for a hockey team. 

GT is adding over 200 townhomes to the land that is behind the Target on Cross Keys Road.

Dave Leader asks about the money being approved (Up to $44,000) to change old tennis courts into pickleball and tennis.  This will come out of a $58,0000 grant for recreation upgrades.

Dave Leader asks about batting cage bids.   What is 3 vs 4 lane specified in the bids.  

                The Batting Cages will cost over $400,000

Dave Leader asked if the meeting minutes from the NJAW \ MUA Union sidebar agreement meeting are available.   The clerk said it has not been resolved yet so the minutes are not available.    If this isn’t resolved than why is the agreement being advertised on flyers and commercials?

Barry Salvatore asks if American Water has a specific amount of time to recoup their investment.  

  Barry also asked why we were spending an additional $44,000 on converting pickleball courts when we are in so much debt. 

Nancy Kelly wants to know if we will be financially responsible if the sewer sells. 

Jim Nash responds to Nancy asking for poor budgeting examples. 

Mercado responds to Ms. Kelly after the 2nd Public Portion. 

Mercado nicely ties in giving sports awards to selling our sewer.
