Public Hearing for sewer improvements

Extends sewer to New Brooklyn Erial Road.  The cost is 1 million dollars.  CLIP 1

Dave Leader asked if they knew about this work before they spent the $6,000,000 in reserve money the MUA had.  They claimed they did not know this work was needed, but the residents of that area have been asking for sewer availability long before the MUA was dissolved.

Why do we have contracts with Marksmen, but also spend a ton of money on our own equipment?  CLIP 10

  • The answer is that Marksman does a of the retention basin work because it is more difficult of a job.

Asks about $800,000 In generator purchased that have been made over several years.  CLIP 7
– OPRA requests for generator purchase receipts came back that no generators have been purchased.

We have borrowed a lot of money for engineering designs that haven’t lead to actual projects.  CLIP 8  (Some of the roof, generators, library bathroom, road projects)

We also borrowed $300,000 for batting cages  and then realized they would cost $1.4 Million so we just kept that loan.

Asks about TBAA and how they knew about the lights on the agenda even though lights were no listed on the agenda.  A TBAA trustee came up after Dena and said it was posted, which it was not.  No Clip

Claimed that you cannot play TBAA soccer with temporary lighting, but that seems to be untrue based on what I’ve found online.

Thinks lowering the speed limit from 40 to 35 isn’t good enough.   He says 25 is better.
